Individualised and sustainable seedling tray
From standard products from the Floramedia range to customised solutions
In his search for a suitable product for his seedlings, Theisen discovered our vegetable seedling tray made of kraft paper, which is particularly sustainable and recyclable. However, the variant with a normal separate label was not enough for Theisen's individual purpose. The challenge was to find a holistic solution based on our product, in which the label is already integrated into the tray and is made from the same sustainable materials. A task that we were delighted to take on.
Our professionals work closely with customers
Our product specialists worked closely with Mr Theisen to develop a suitable solution: The original tray shape was slightly adapted at the front and a raised section was placed in the form of a label. Not only did this fulfil the requirements of the combination, the design also had another advantage, as the practical elevation (nose) allows the customer at the POS to recognise at first glance which seedlings are in the tray.
Where practical solutions meet innovative design
Of course, we didn't stop there and utilised every advertising space, so the bowl was given a new layout to attract even more attention. Together with the customer, we decided on a simple but attractive, timeless layout. In addition to the design elements, the tray features the most important information (plant passport, variety name and QR code) and the two icons ‘Made from sustainable material’ and ‘Active for our nature’. This draws the customer's attention directly to the special sustainability of the product.
What makes this solution special
The vegetable seedling tray is made from sustainable kraft cardboard. It is therefore plastic-free and can be completely recycled in waste paper. It is glued with food-safe adhesive. The outside of the bowl can be printed on as desired, leaving plenty of room for personalised designs. We can say that we can look back on an all-round successful project with a great collaborative partnership, the results of which are really impressive. Together, we are one step closer to sustainability in the green sector.
